1965 Ford Mustang

1965 Ford Mustang, 2 door coupe

The History of the production of the Ford Mustang started with what they called the 1964 ½ model. The first full production year of the Mustang was 1965. The Mustang is now in its 52nd year and has been a big success for Ford. The cute little economy car has captured the interest of many car enthusiasts. It originally came with four different engine/transmission combinations. There was an inline 6 cylinder and an 8 cylinder V-8 engine. There was a 3 speed floor manual and an automatic transmission. The economy concept was soon swept under the rug and the engine became more powerful and fast.

This 1965 Mustang has the inline 6 cylinder with a three speed manual transmission. It has been well preserved and had just a little of refurbishing work done on it. I have this car in my collection because it is in good condition and is part of the beginning of the Mustang History.
