1957 Ford Fairlane 500 Two Door Hardtop

         After we were married about four years, I bought a 1957 Ford Fairlane 500 Four-Door Hardtop from a friend. It was this same color, had an automatic trans, power steering but no power brakes. I added a Hydro-vac later on to get power brakes. This car is only a two door Hard Top with a Super Thunderbird 312 Cu. In. engine coupled with a Ford-aMatic auto transmission power steering and manual brakes.

         The car was completely refurbished (exterior-interior-engine) by a man in the Greencastle, Pa. area around 2000. He did all of the work in his split level attached garage, which included the professional job of painting the car. This car is a fun car to drive and the rummble of the dual exhaust with glass pack mufflers brings back a lot of good memories of our first 1957 Ford Fairlane 500 HT.
